aged domainsIf you have some money to spend as an internet marketer, you may want to buy aged domain for your internet business.  It can be used for your affiliate marketing purpose or other advantages, such passing link to other sites.  The aged domain can speed up your Google page rank in terms of a specific keyword because Google trusts the old sites with page ranking and gives more credit to them than the brand new sites.  Searching for an aged domain takes time and dedication.  To make sure you get what you pay for and don’t get scammed by scammers, you must do you due diligence.  Here are the 5 points to follow:

1-Check the drop

Check the domain to make sure there is no more than one drop.  A drop means it falls off registry.   Go to http://whois.domaintools.com/  to check see if it has drops.  One drop is O.K., but two or more is too risky.

2-Is that real page rank (PR)?

Here is what you do to find out if it is a real PR or not.  Go to Google.com and type the following into the search box.
info:yourdomain.com .  And hit enter key.  Make sure they have the same domain name in the search box as the name in the search box.  If the result is different, then you have a fake PR.

3-Do the inner pages have any PR?

To check to see if the domain has inner pages with PR, go to Google and type the following in the search box.  site:yourdomainname.com.

4- Check the backlinks

To see if the domain has any backlinks,  go to seo spyglass to check back link.  You NEEDS TO HAVE 2 OR MORE EQUAL BACKLINKS in order to be acceptable.  One backlink is not good enough.

5-feedback score

If you buy an aged domain from Digital Point, you should look at the feedback score of the seller and make sure it is at least 10 or better.

Tip: Other than that you need to build a relation ship with the broker  who is selling domain as their business.  You can have a privilege to look at the domains before they go to market place such as Flippa.

Some people even go further.  They want to check the domain to make sure it does not show a red flag by Google Adsense.  You can use the Google  adsense preview tool  to do that.

Where to buy them?

You can go to Digital Point forum, Godaddy, Namepros, ebay, and Warrior Forum.

money nicheAren’t you making money online?  If not, pay close attention to what I’m going to talk about.  You have not made a single dime online because you concentrate in the wrong niche.  In another word, you are in the niche that the crowd is not hungry or it is too competitive and you’re not on the first page of Google.  However, if you’re on the first page and you still don’t make money, that is because it is the wrong crowd.  That is why they did not open their wallet for sales.  The solution to that is  make sure you find a  hungry crowd  desperately needs a solution to their problem, for example the Diet niche.  Some ladies want to lose weight so they look great for the wedding.  That is one reason some people want to lose weight.  That are a lot more reasons people need to be skinny and healthy.

Anyway, the following topic can help you redirect your focus so that you can make some money.  It doesn’t matter if you are an affiliate or a blogger.  This topic still applies to all internet marketers.

Niche research—Where you can find hungry crowd?

Listen to Radio Ads

Another creative technique of finding a good niche which you could make money quickly is by listening to radio advertisings. If you hear the radio each day and find ads which have been regularly being offered, this is indication that this is the successful product. That’s because it costs lots of money to run advertisings frequently on radio stations. And, no one will be promoting a product or service and spending that form of money unless the product or service is producing additional than the spending.

Look Through Your Junk Mail

Another effective technique of finding a very good niche for marketing should be to look through each of the junk mail you have at home. Particularly take note of the direct snail mail letters that turn up. Pay close attention if same type involving correspondence arrives regularly at your house. This is probably a great indication that this is the good niche to.

There are many niches to and ideally you should try to find a distinct segment with the least volume of competition from various other marketers. If you happen to identify a new niche as well as sub-niche and are one of several first to market place it, then you'll be able to quickly make a good amount of money.

Answer Yahoo

If you keep an eye on “Answer Yahoo” closely, you would find a hot niche to tap.  It is when you see a lot of questions are asked in the same niche.  All that mean is people are wanting to finding solutions to their problem or they want a verification on what they are looking for.  You need to go through the questions to see the pattern.

Tv commercial TV talk shows

Hot niche can be found while you’re watching TV shows such as “Doctor TV show” or “Oprah” show.  Notice that when they mention about the product, the audience are eager to try the product out, especially the topic related to health.  What you do you have to jot down the important keyword of product that they mention and go to the Google Keyword tools and find out how many local monthly search is going to be.  From there you can decide if it is worth your time to get into that lucrative niche.

Scam Email

I know we all are receiving a lot of junk mail in the email box every day.  If you have time and take a look at it, you will find there a lot of junk mail promoting a product.  If you do an investigation, you’ll find out what niche they are targeting.  You have to know that there must must be some money to be made in that niche.  Otherwise, they don’t put effort, money, and time to it.

Google Ads

Another niche that you may have overlooked is the Google ads when you do keyword research.  Pay close attention to the paid advertisement on the top and on the right side.  If you notice, there are 8 or more ads total, they must be making money.  Otherwise, they don’t waste money on the Google ads.  From there, you can do more research to see if there is not competition.  If you’re comfortable with the current competition and feel you can beat them, go ahead and setup a site and drive traffic to your money site.

Dummies books

It is another place where you can get some ideas about niches you want to do research further.  You can go to their website and check out content to see if the niches are your interest and are worth while to get in to.  You know that for sure they are good niches because Dummies book won’t waste their money on publishing the book and find out later that there are no audience in those particular niches.  Go and check out Books for Dummies.

Amazon hot sales

Another good place for you to look at is Amazon.  It is not just Amazon, but you go further by looking under the “Bestsellers”.  From there you can determine the hot niches based on the products that people are buying.  What you have to do you go to the categories on the left hand side, pick the category you’re interested in, and select the “Bestsellers” tab.  You’ll see a list of products that people are buying.  If you are looking for alternatives to Amazon, you can find physical products at Commission Junction.  Besides, there they pay out a lot more than Amazon.

This is just a few ways to look for hungry crowds.  There are a bunch more, such as Click bank, OfferVault, forum, etc…

Any Comments?

I hope you have some ideas to look for niches.  If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line.  I’ll will be glad to guide you to the right direction.

research tools There are many tools that were developed and they are helpful for bloggers in the process of selecting a blog niche.  The following tools are the ones you can use in the research phase:

AdWords Keyword Tools: This is a Google keyword tool that allows you to type in a keyword or phrase and will give an indication of how many people searched for that word in the past month as well as what keywords that a competitive website is using.  This gives you an indication both of the popularity of the niche as well as whether there is potential income in it.  Also this tool will also give you other keywords that relate to the ones you enter.  You have to tick the “Use synonym” and enter the “captcha” if you enter the keyword to search a niche.  It is a way to make sure you are human, not robot.

Google trends: It is useful for looking at search volume on Google for different search terms.  Even thought it won’t give you specific search numbers and doesn’t produce results for every term, it is useful for working out whether a niche is growing or shrinking and it allows you to compare two different search terms.

Technorati: It is a blog search engine that gives you the ability to see what others are writing about on your chosen niche topic, what they are talking about the top 100 blogs, and the hot blogshere items, plus most popular videos.

Google Blog search: This blog search will help you get a picture of who else is blogging on a give topic.

Wordtracker: it is a popular keyword research tool with a free trial that helps you to ascertain how many people are searching for different words and how many other sites are competing in those niches.

Yahoo! Buzz: It is a summary of information on what people are searching for at the Yahoo! search engine.

A concept of blog niches gives you a consideration of what you need to take into account before selection your blog topic.  The subject of your blog, the audience you aim to attract, and the market you plan to get into could be the factor you decide  before whether your blog succeeds or fails.
